Install the widget

The widget is a lightweight script that captures context and opens the feedback drawer. Use the snippet from project settings so it includes the correct publishable key and hub URL.

Recommended sequence

  1. 1. Create a project and add allowed origins.
  2. 2. Copy the widget snippet from Project to Keys.
  3. 3. Paste it before the closing </body> tag.
  4. 4. Load your site and confirm the widget opens.
  5. 5. Send a report and confirm it appears in the inbox.

Snippet example

Replace the key and hub base URL with your project values. If your admin UI runs on a different domain, do not use the admin origin here. Use the hub or API origin for both src and data-api.

Copy the exact snippet from the admin UI to avoid mismatched keys.

Verification

If you want to validate end to end quickly, use the project Send test report action in the admin UI and confirm the inbox receives it. Then validate a real widget submission from your site so allowed origins are also confirmed.
