Screenshots + annotations

Screenshots can be captured by the widget and uploaded to your storage provider. Users can optionally annotate screenshots using a constrained set of tools.

Screenshot capture vs upload

  • • Capture: the widget generates a screenshot from the current page.
  • • Upload: the screenshot is stored as an attachment for the report.
  • • Some evidence can be generated after submission when optional capture bundles are enabled.

Annotation model

Annotations are stored as structured overlay data (JSON). Depending on your deployment settings, Verity may also produce an annotated image variant.

  • • Tools: highlight, arrow, rect, blur (and optionally text if allowed by policy)
  • • Policy can disable text annotations or limit tool availability
  • • Upload modes can store overlay-only or a rendered annotated image

Troubleshooting

If annotations are missing, verify the project allows screenshots and that org policy permits annotations for the selected tools.
